A new app wants to make casual sex worry-free by creating legally binding contracts. LegalFling is designed to ensure explicit consent is given so all parties can truly enjoy a one night stand. The software makes clear what each person wants during a sexual encounter, and hopes to help protect against STDs and revenge porn.
In a statement on the firm’s website, a spokesman said: “LegalFling is a fun but clear way to set the rules before play.” The app lets you get approval for photos and videos to be made, whether a condom should be used, and whether you are comfortable with explicit language and BDSM. It works by sending a “Fling” contract via iOS and Android that can be accepted with a tap of a smartphone’s screen. Though LegalFling is currently just a concept, many people have pointed out the problems of a sex contract, since obviously “consent” can be withdrawn at any time.
