These frisky 9-to-5ers are getting busy at work—literally. A recent survey on the Top 10 professions in which a person in a committed relationship is most likely to cheat found that 85% of affairs occur on the job—with one in five employees confessing to being unfaithful with a work associate. “The allure of the forbidden fruit can be fairly tempting, especially in an environment where professionalism and boundaries are expected to be upheld,” said the authors of the report.
For the survey’s freaky findings, analysts polled 3,800 folks across the UK—1,644 of whom confessed to doing dirty work with a fellow employee—to determine which professional industries have the most affairs. Salespeople ranked the highest, with 14.5% (239 individuals) admitting to having workplace trysts, while teachers made up the second most common cheaters. Meanwhile, healthcare workers ranked third: “Plagued by long and unpredictable hours, overnight emergency shifts, and paramount stress,” said data experts, “health professionals may seek solace with someone who is in the same field and understands their daily struggles.”
