Saturday Night Live guest host Emma Stone brought her Serious Actor A-game to a sketch about a porno shoot. She shows up ready to work as the lead actress who gets cheated on in an X-rated gay film. From the jump, she wants the director to tell her about her character’s motivation and backstory.
The director tells her: “There’s nothing to her. People are just going to scroll past you so they can get off.” Still, she needs to know what events led her to the moment when she catches her husband engaging in gay sex with her godson. But in the end, the most important mystery when she leaves the XXX set after a hard day’s work is simply: “how the hell did I get lube on my hand?”
