Spring is May Grey’s season in every sense—a time of sensual transformation, fresh energy, and fantasies rooted in nature’s rhythm. When asked to design her ultimate seasonal scene, she didn’t hesitate.
“Transitional seasons (spring and fall) are my favourite—there’s so much excitement and anticipation in watching the landscape change. I associate spring with freshness, sensuality, renewal.”
And in her fantasy? Nature takes center stage.
“If I were to craft the ultimate fantasy, I would want to be immersed in a sensory experience that mirrors the vitality of spring. I’m picturing a lush garden in full bloom, or a crisp, slightly damp forest floor. The smell of earth, of flowers and rain.”
Her vision is less about spectacle and more about sensation—a mood, a feeling, a subtle shift in the atmosphere that leads to total surrender.
“Something that captures a tone of enchantment and escapism, with a focus on the beauty and mystique of the natural world. Culminating with a mutual release, symbolizing the blossoming of spring turning into the warmth of summer.”
Like her namesake, May Grey brings the weather with her—a delicious haze of softness and sharpness, indulgence and anticipation. Her fantasy is a slow, seductive journey. One that, if you’re lucky, ends in full bloom.
