The deputy’s arrest stems from a complaint, which accused her of having sex with an inmate at the main county jail.
She was immediately placed on administrative leave as the sheriff’s office launched a criminal probe, which culminated with the case being brought before a grand jury for indictment. Sexual contact between sheriff’s personnel and inmates is strictly forbidden both by law and by policy, according to the sheriff’s office. She probably won’t be getting off for good behavior—considering she already got off!
