Even though Oppenheimer has 13 Oscar nominations, behind the (sex) scenes was a bit more chaotic. The stars Florence Pugh and Cillian Murphy were reportedly left hanging around completely naked when a camera broke in the middle of a sex scene. The British actress revealed that on-set difficulties put her and her co-star in a very awkward position.
“In the middle of our sex scene, the camera broke. No one knows this, but it did,” she said during a panel interview for the film. “Our camera broke when we were both naked. And it was not ideal timing, and there weren’t many cameras.” Pugh said that both she and Murphy were then forced to try and cover their bodies with their hands while people around them tried to “fix this camera.”
