An ex-dominatrix is calling foul on the New Jersey sheriff’s office for firing her over her kinky past. The dominatrix-turned-cop recently lost a court battle to get her cuffs back following a three-month-long disciplinary hearing she likened to a “kangaroo court.” She said, “They don’t live in a modern society. This is not the crowd that can go comfortably watch ‘Fifty Shades of Grey.’”
The former dominatrix was suspended as a sheriff’s officer when her bosses learned of her past as latex-clad bondage actress Domina Nyx Blake, who starred in racy fetish videos like “Domina Nyx Beatdown.” The sheriff’s office ruled that Hyman lied on her application by not disclosing she was dominatrix for hire. But Hyman claims she wasn’t, and had simply been an actress playing a role, and had honestly written “actress/model” on the form as a past occupation. The sheriff’s office accused her of being an embarrassment to the force—when really, the only thing embarrassing is prudish law enforcement discriminating against sex workers.
