It’s fair to say that this year’s Olympians are ready for action. The 2018 games will have more free condoms than any other year, according to the South China Morning Post. Officials will hand out a total of 110,000 condoms to the athletes—an increase of 10,000 condoms from the 2014 Winter Olympics.
It seems Olympic organizers are anticipating a very exciting 16-day stay in Pyeongchang, South Korea. The condom-to-athlete ratio averages out to a whopping 37.6 condoms per athlete. “Baskets with condoms will be placed at both men’s and women’s toilets at athletes’ villages in Pyeongchang and Gangneung, the main press center, the media village as well as medical centers,” reports the paper. Let the games begin!
