The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is finally changing its rules after a recent scandal involving a female-centric sex toy. Sex toys were recently targeted for deletion at CES, including a toy that won a CES Robotics Innovation Award (before being stripped of its title by sexist judges). CES eventually reinstated the award after being called out by the sex toy’s makers, and now it looks like vibrators and other sex toys will be officially allowed.
New rules are also being introduced to crack down on the practice of having “booth babes.” Attractive, scantily-clad women entice ticket holders into spending some time at their table, leading many critics to call out CES for seeming double standards when it comes to sex. Hopefully, CES will continue to be innovative when it comes to sexuality.
