Greg Lansky, two-time AVN Director of the Year award winner and chief creative director behind the adult studios Blacked, Tushy, and Vixen, is carving out a niche in the adult marketplace with his artful, high-definition porn. Lansky’s willingness to go the extra mile to indulge in elegant sex is a testament to his passion for high-quality adult entertainment. “When we started the company the odds were against us,” Lansky tells The Daily Beast. But now that his company is three years old, the appeal of well-made porn is starting to catch on.
“It’s important to show that we don’t invest money back into stupid ads or into creating cheap content,” says Lansky, who wants to pay homage to the more glamorous porn he grew up with. “I try to create a product that the adult performers are inspired by, that they feel proud of, and the promotion does itself,” he explains. His studios specialize in black-on-white porn (Blacked), backdoor entertainment (Tushy), and “beautiful girls in first-time porn videos” (Vixen). Last year, Blacked’s film Being Riley took home the most AVN Awards—the porn world’s Oscars—of any film, with five wins. So far, it seems everyone’s feeling “inspired” by all his hard work.
