The new bondage-porn documentary produced by James Franco, Kink, opens with director Maitresse Madeline asking the following of her male actor: “Do you like to get choked? Can we slap you in the face? What about your nipples? Can we clamp your nipples?” The film, which premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, takes audiences inside the hot, screaming world of Kink, the world’s most notorious BDSM porn site, housed in the historic San Francisco Armory, a 200,000 square-foot space with 50 movie sets. It features behind the scenes footage of videos of both men and women in a plethora of BDSM sex scenes: tied up, getting electric shocks to various body parts, and even getting fucked by several industrial-strength “fuck machines”—they have everything from modified motorcycles to rocking chairs with dildos, and allegedly hired engineers from NASA to build some of them. Kinky!
The documentary goes behind the scenes of what it’s like for the adult entertainers before and after shooting some of the more extreme scenes. Many of the actors describe the importance of using their “safe word” when things get too intense. They also discuss the thrill of taking their minds and bodies to the maximum level, and the “ecstasy” they experience within that sexual “sub-space” of pleasure and pain.
This hot, hardcore movie makes us want to push our limits right to the edge. Who’s in the mood for a little kink? Just remember your safe-word and we’ll do the rest.
