Pilates Enhances Women’s Sex Lives, Study Says

It seems Pilates has amazing benefits on and off the yoga mat—according to a new study, it can work wonders for women’s sex lives. Researchers studied women aged 20 to 50 who were experiencing a loss of libido. The women were enrolled in a 12-week program of Pilates, attending 60-minute classes twice a week and answering detailed sexual questions covering arousal, lubrication, orgasm and comfort.

The study, published in the journal Revista Internacional de Andrologia, found that women’s sexual function scores improved by 143 percent on average after the program. Lead author from Sakarya University in Turkey said Pilates may improve sexual function due to its physiological and psychological benefits. Let’s get physical!
