UK Residents Suspect Banksy After Mystery Plaque For Adulterer Appeared

A brass plate engraved with “For My Love/Husband, Father, Adulterer/Yes, Roger, I Knew” quickly attracted attention after it was attached to a wooden bench in Banksy’s hometown. “Revenge is a dish best-served cold … and in a brass plate,” one resident said. But some think it’s a prank, noting the date of Roger’s birth on the plaque, 06.09.69: “But look at the numbers in dates 69 69. Come on!”

Speculation that Banksy is responsible has brought crowds coming to look at the bench: “It is amazing how word spreads….there have been loads and loads of people outside,” said a resident. The elusive Bristol graffiti artist, Banksy, is suspected, after his mural of an adulterous, naked man hanging from a window ledge, Well Hung Lover, appeared in Bristol’s centre. “I think it is Banksy,” one resident sleuth said.
