Terra cotta plaques from Mesopotamia depicting erotica are currently on display in a museum in Israel. You’d probably immediately think that these images would be pretty normal, missionary style positions showing the simple act of pro-creating, but this is not the case. On these small clay pieces, we see a much different perspective of sex during ancient times. 
There are only two but both of them show the man entering the woman from behind, doggy-style! One of them even shows the woman drinking from straws while being penetrated, which may have been symbolic of something other than quenching her thirst. It’s pretty amazing to see that full blown erotica existed so long ago, and that it kicked so much ass!
